Michael Capasso presents the Gershwins' Porgy and Bess
REGGIE WHITEHEAD (Sportin' Life) is thrilled, once again, to be performing the role of Sportin' Life (a fascinating character). He was fortunate to do this role in a 2008 tour of Porgy and Bess, which began in St. Petersburg and Moscow, Russia; then on to Poland, Greece, Estonia and Latvia. Reggie spends his time between New York City and Miami, and enjoys seeking out diverse roles. Recently, he played Sister Mary Hubert in Nunsense-Men. He won a South Florida Theater Carbonell Award for The Full Monty (the role of Horse). Other Carbonells were for Smokey Joe's Café (Ken) and Zombie Prom (2003 Best Choreography). Credits include Ain't Misbehavin, Purlie, A Chorus Line, La Cage aux Folles, You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown and Pippin. Reggie thanks Tom and Lewis for their support; Peter Klein and Philip Boykin who initiated him into Porgy and Bess; and finally, PAB for this wonderful opportunity. Visit www.reggiewhitehead.com.
